Ian Fyffe
Founder & PresidentIan Fyffe has always been happiest in the water. And no matter how many paths he explored (an accounting degree from Wharton,) the allure of crystalline waters never loosened its grip. A longtime competitive swimmer and diver, Fyffe took a summer job cleaning pools in 1978 and quickly realized that’s where his heart lay. He founded Sparkling Pools soon after, setting a new standard for custom pool design, construction, installation, and maintenance. His vision drives the ethos behind the company, the desire to create harmony out of water, to marry art and science, poetry and engineering, in the creation of balanced, soul-warming swimming sanctuaries. Ian is one of fewer than 100 Association of Pool & Spa Professionals who has both a CBP (Certified Building Professional) and CSP (Certified Service Professional) status. He serves as a Volunteer Fireman in Sag Harbor and as an Elder in the Old Whaler’s Church. And is father to Nathaniel & Hannah – his best accomplishment.
Other accomplishments: Past President, LIPSA Long Island Pool Association & NESPA Northeast Pool & Spa Association; Past Chair Service Council, Service Education Committee NSPI National Spa & Pool Institute; Master of Design Award Winner Pool & Spa News, Multiple NESPA, LIPSA Design Award Winner.

Hope Herrlin
Sales CoordinatorBorn and raised in Montauk, Hope joined the company in 2019 and leads the sales and marketing efforts for both Sparkling Pools and Harbor Hot Tubs & Spas. She also brings a keen sense of design to their projects, having spent more than 20 years as an award winning designer for some of the East End’s finest landscaping firms, including Marder’s, Bayberry, and New Leaf. Like Ian, she strives to use the harmony of water to create a balanced, multi-dimensional happiness that comes from the outside in and the inside out. Hope is an accredited Yoga instructor and still practices and meditates on a daily basis.

Doug Sullivan
Director of SalesA natural “people person”, Doug brought his sales expertise to the Sparkling Pools family in 2014, collaborating with Ian Fyffe on the evolution of Harbor Hot Tubs’ store, sales, and service. An inveterate learner and highly detail oriented, Doug has continually increased his knowledge in hot tubs and saunas through certification and training programs with Hydropool, Dundalk, and TyloHelo. His goal: Guide our customers in their pursuit of their personal wellness goals by delivering the finest quality products and highest quality customer care. A lifelong athlete, Doug has worked as a ski instructor and race coach.

Will Kirchoff
Care & Maintenance ManagerWill joined the Harbor Hot Tubs team in 2008. Since then, he has led the growth of an “ultimate care” program committed to taking the stress out of taking care of their clients’ needs. His experienced team of technicians exemplifies his emphasis on superb technical skills and personalized, customer-centric communication. A graduate of Parsons School of Design, accomplished Fine Arts photographer, and certified scuba diver, Will brings a sophisticated design aesthetic and a love for the water to his work. He started spending summers in the Hamptons at his grandfather’s home in Rose’s Grove 40 years ago and now resides in Sag Harbor.

Chris Barrett
Service/Customer Care ManagerChris joined the Sparkling Pools/Harbor Hot Tubs team in 2011. Since then, he has been an integral part of all aspects of our customer care and service with nine years field experience as a pool and spa technician, as well as in pool and spa orientation, delivery and installation, maintenance, and renovation. He is also certified in Water Chemistry analysis and in Hydrodpool’s Hot Tub Sales Training Program. When not working hard to keep our clients happy, Chris enjoys swimming, warm weather vacations, and spending quality time with his family and friends, especially by the pool.
